Environmentally-Friendly Paper Media - Mitsubishi Electric is committed to preserving nature and the environment, striving to minimize the impact of our products on the environment. As such, Mitsubishi have started an initiative to sourcing paper media products for some of our photographic printers that use wood from legally harvested forest, mandating that the supplier(s) of these media have in place, processes for determining the source of all pulp and paper products they provide and sell to us.
The thermal paper media we use for our printers CP-K60DW-S and CP-W5000DW are part of this initiative, and is certified with the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) Chain of Custody from our supplier. PEFC is currently the world’s largest recognized certification system known worldwide to be dedicated to sustainable forest management.
Furthermore, the carton material used in the packaging of CK-76R and CK-75R media for the Mitsubishi CP-K60DW-S printer are certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative with the SFI mark stamped on the bottom of their carton boxes, assuring consumers that the pulp and fiber used for these carton boxes are also from good renewable sources.
These recent choices for our media and carton packaging were selected based on our on-going commitment to support environmental and ecological initiatives of Mitsubishi Electric companies worldwide.
