Quick software facts:
- You need a router.
- The MPP software on the CPU to which it is connected, you do not need an Internet connection.
- The router just creates a local (non Internet) wireless network to which guests connect.
- Guests just access the printer via the MPP software using the local network created by the wireless router. The idea is that the person holding the event has a counter card or poster or something telling guests the name of the network to connect to.
- HOWEVER. Guests at an event DO have to download the app on their mobile phones from iTunes or Android market so they can take a photo and send it to the printer.
- Their mobile phone needs Internet access (which most people already have) so they can download the app. That’s the only Internet access needed.
- After the guests download the app, they just connect to the router’s local network, take a photo and print.
